This was a rare foray into romantic style writing for me. Inspired by those gorgeous themes that were once part and parcel of the film going experience. The best known more recent examples being Howard Shore's "Lord Of The Rings" stunning works.

0.00: "The bad guy is defeated, but what of our hero? An army waits in hope, permeated with sadness as they take stock of their fallen comrades. 0.18: An Oboe joins in a sad lament tinged with hope as the wreckage of battle is searched and we begin to find signs of life. 0.34: Violas and brass join in as the positives begin to outweigh the negatives - hope grows even more. 0.50: Timpani introduces the full orchestral compliment and soaring strings, backed by two French horns as our hero emerges from the fog of war. 1.06: A flute takes over the melody, with some high strings backed by a high female choir and some tasteful light brass as the celebrations die down and our hero takes stock of the current moment. 1.23: As the piece comes to a close, the flute plays a lyrical minor line, which suggests (In true Hollywood style) the bad guys are never far away from returning.
